Australia’s new physical activity guidelines
The Department of Health has recently released the updated Physical Activity & Sedentary Behaviour Guidelines (2014).
The guidelines note minimum standards for physical activity across for new born babies through to older adults and also include advice on sitting and sedentary behaviour for optimal health.
This guideline has been written to address the increasing incidence of ‘lifestyle’ diseases that are now common in our world and point to the importance of regular exercise and incidental movement as being critical to achieving good health.
Keep moving people…..
